First North American Livestock Exposition held at Kentucky Exposition Center: featured beef cattle only. |

Sheep division added. Total number of Expo entries: 1,443, with 12 breeds competing. |

1977 |
Expo came to be known as NAILE, and expanded to include swine and dairy cattle. |

1978 |
NAILE Quarter Horse Show introduced, going on to become a top show in the nation. |

1979 |
North American Championship Rodeo joined NAILE and performed in Freedom Hall. |

1983 |
Draft horse division added to Expo. |

NAILE dairy goat show added. |
