A Tradition Growing Through the Years
The stalls are set, the livestock are being prepped, and soon the Kentucky Exposition Center will welcome hundreds of thousands of guests and exhibitors to the largest purebred livestock show in the world, the North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE).
A regional tradition that started in 1974 has grown into an international legacy drawing nearly 27,000 entries this year across eight species – an increase of nearly 2,000 entries when compared to last year. Thousands of exhibitors are bracing for the feeling of stepping onto the green shavings and experiencing the dream of walking away with the coveted purple and gold banner, but NAILE is more than just a prestigious livestock show. It’s also the breeding ground for the livestock industry to celebrate the values that make agriculture strong. It’s the place where young individuals learn the value of grit and determination and prepare to become the next generation of dedicated farmers. It’s the home where history is written and memories are made.
The fun doesn't stop in the show ring and the barns, though. Every day, visitors can venture through the Country Store browsing and buying from over 100 vendors selling tack, clothing, toys, boots, and more. The annual North American Championship Rodeo Presented by Rural 1st® will roar back into iconic Freedom Hall November 13-15. Fans will hoot and holler as professional ropers, riders, and wrestlers show off their skills. If that’s not enough entertainment, The Hitching Post is back on-site with live music and good food November 13-18.
I encourage everyone to visit Louisville November 6-20 to experience just what the legacy of NAILE is all about. You can find more information on tickets and times at livestockexpo.org.
Sincerely,
